

About me
I am a qualified Psychodynamic counsellor and DiT therapist with years of experience delivering long and short term, individual and couples counselling with clients.

I have 13 years of experience of working at ‘The Priory’ a private Mental Health Hospital delivering individual therapy and a group therapy programme to in-patients with Acute Mental Health illnesses. I have also worked on the Child and Adolescent, Eating Disorder and Addictions Units, Day Hospital and Out-patient Therapy services.
​
I have worked for over 6 years in a local counselling agency that is a ‘not for profit charitable company’ offering low cost counselling to those unable to pay full fees.
​
I trained as a DiT Therapist (Short Term Psychodynamic Counselling) at the Anna Freud Centre and Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and have worked for Health in Mind, IAPT High Intensity service for the past couple of years.
​
I set up my own private practise this year initially based in Chelmsford and then expanded premises to working in Maldon.

Over the years I have encountered and worked with most of the causes and affects of emotional distress including the following:

Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Trauma, Loss, Anger management, Low Self Esteem and Assertion, Panic, OCD, PTSD, Relationship difficulties, Eating Disorders, Addictions, Abuse - Sexual, Physical, Emotional, Self Harm, Sexual problems, Cancer, C.F.S./M.E., Dissociation, Domestic Violence, Pregnancy and Birth, Miscarriage, Personality disorders, Sexuality, Stress, Suicidal thoughts and Work-related stress.
